The Homestead Visitors Center has two Somerset Group interactive programs on-site at the new facility. This program interprets life during the homestead migration through the lenses of photographers “Lady” Evelyn Cameron and Solomon D. Butcher. The images are provided with caption and a user-moveable magnifying glass that allows the visitor to see the images in greater detail. In addition certain “hot spots” trigger a pop-up window with additional captions that further describe some aspect of the magnified image. The two Homestead programs were developed in approximately two and a half months due to a compressed timetable from the park.
