BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK
SKELETON INTERACTIVE

FABRICATION: Southern Custom Exhibits
INTERACTIVE: Somerset

LOCATION: Badlands National Park Visitor Center, SD
This Macromedia Director program was developed to help present three different fossilized skeletons that have been unearthed in the Badlands National Park. The user must assemble a group of bones into a complete skeleton by dragging the loose bones into place. The program divides the three skeletons into easily assembled, moderately complex and very complex. As part of the program Somerset incorporated a “hint” function that would assemble a bone if the user became frustrated. This program was targeted at all park visitors but particular attention was given to elementary school age children. As a reward for the completion of each skeleton, there is a special animation of the completed animal.
