This interactive program originally developed for the Gulf Coast Exploreum's My BodyWorks permanent exhibit. This interactive program allows users to participate in an abbreviated bloodless virtual surgery of a coronary artery bypass and a knee joint replacement procedure. The program uses stylized realistic animation combined with user interactions via a 32" touch screen to perform specific tasks as an assisting surgeon. The program was developed in conjunction with the Exploreum, cardiologists and an orthopedic surgeon to ensure accuracy. The user is guided through the experience by a computer narrator and is close captioned for the hearing impaired to conform to ADA requirements.
